The 20th General Assembly of the Building Products Manufacturers Federation (YÜF) was held. At the assembly, the current Chairman, Adil Sani Konukoğlu, was re-elected by the votes of the members.

The general assembly, attended by federation members, industry representatives, and invited guests, comprehensively addressed the current state of the building products sector, its performance in 2025, and expectations for 2026.

Speaking at the assembly, YÜF Chairman Adil Sani Konukoğlu emphasized that the sectors under the Federation play a critical role in Türkiye’s economy and the construction industry, stating:
“The sectors within our Federation make significant contributions to our country’s production strength and the development of the construction industry.”

In his speech, Konukoğlu also commemorated the late Fatih Yücelik, saying:
“I extend my condolences to the family and our community, and pray for God’s mercy upon our dear Fatih Chairman, who made valuable contributions to our sector and Federation. Our foremost responsibility is to carry forward the structure he helped build with the same sense of responsibility and determination.”

Providing an assessment of 2025, Konukoğlu noted that Türkiye’s economy grew by 3.7%, while the construction sector recorded a growth rate of 13.9%. He stated that housing sales increased by 14% to reach 1.7 million units, adding that the construction materials industry demonstrated overall resilience.

Addressing the challenges faced by the sector, Konukoğlu continued:
“The increase in financing costs and the weak course of confidence indices continue to put pressure on our sector. The year 2025 stood out as a period in which production remained strong, while confidence was fragile.”

Re-elected as Chairman at the general assembly, Adil Sani Konukoğlu stated that they will continue working for the development of the sector and sustainable growth in the new term. Sector representatives also shared their expectations for the future with participants.
