TÜRKÇİMENTO Vision Talks Continue

February 4 TÜRKÇİMENTO Vision Talks Carbon Talks were held under the title of “Cement Sector Carbon Capture and Use, Hydrogen Fuel on the Way to Target 2050”. TÜRKÇİMENTO R&D Institute hosted by Prof. Dr. TÜRKÇİMENTO CEO Volkan Bozay was the moderator of the event, which was held with the presentation of İskender Gökalp.

At the event, it was mentioned that hydrogen can be used as a substitute for fossil fuels because it has the feature of an energy carrier, and CO2 emissions can be reduced when it is put through a clean production process, and it can also support the circular economy by producing it from organic wastes. By defining the risks arising from its chemical and physical properties in the use of hydrogen, it was emphasized that production should be carried out with processes that will minimize dangers such as fire and explosion.

Dr. In his presentation, Iskender Gokalp also drew attention to the need to adopt an innovative approach that brings solutions to environmental waste issues and adopts the circular economy system for the ways to be followed for the determination of Turkey's hydrogen strategy and the applicability of technology.
